Earth as a Day Master
In BaZi, your Day Master is the heavenly stem of the day you were born, and it describes your core nature. The Earth stems are 戊 Wù (Yang), 己 Jǐ (Yin). An Earth Day Master tends to be steady, trustworthy and supportive. Yang Earth (戊) is a mountain: solid and protective. Yin Earth (己) is garden soil: nurturing, adaptable and productive.
Earth also appears in the earthly branches 辰 Dragon, 戌 Dog, 丑 Ox, 未 Goat, which is why those zodiac animals share some of Earth's character.

Earth in your home
Bring in Earth with ceramics, stone, square rugs and warm neutral colours. The centre of the home, the Northeast and the Southwest are Earth sectors. Keep the centre of your home open and uncluttered, because it is the heart of the space.

Too much or too little Earth
Signs of too little Earth: a home that feels ungrounded, with nothing solid or settled, and constant rearranging. Signs of too much: heavy furniture everywhere, dull colours and a sluggish feel. Clearing the centre of the home is the single most useful Earth adjustment.
Balancing Earth
Too much Earth can feel heavy or stuck; add Metal (white, round shapes) to let it flow. Too little Earth feels ungrounded; add Fire and earthy colours.
