What hexagram 3 means
Zhūn pictures a seedling pushing through hard ground: growth is happening, but it is messy and slow. The traditional advice is not to rush ahead alone but to stay put, get organised and bring in helpers. Chaos at the start is normal and does not mean you chose wrongly.

The two trigrams
The lower trigram, Thunder 震 (Zhèn), stands for your inner state and the root of the situation. The upper trigram, Water 坎 (Kǎn), stands for the outer circumstances. In element terms this is Water over Wood. Thunder is the trigram of Kua 3 and Water is the trigram of Kua 1.
