What hexagram 63 means
Jì Jì shows water above fire: the cooking is done and everything is in its place. It is after completion, the only hexagram whose lines all sit in their proper positions. The traditional text warns that good fortune at the start turns into disorder at the end without vigilance.

The two trigrams
The lower trigram, Fire 離 (Lí), stands for your inner state and the root of the situation. The upper trigram, Water 坎 (Kǎn), stands for the outer circumstances. In element terms this is Water over Fire. Fire is the trigram of Kua 9 and Water is the trigram of Kua 1.
